What is the difference between PGDBA and MBA? Which is more good?
Sir,
I did my Bsc and currently working with Cognizant. I would like to join for PGDBA from Symbiosis Distance Learning. There is a tie-up with cognizant and Symbiosis for the corporates to join for PGDBA. I heard that both are almost same and only Universities gives MBA and PGDBA holders are also called MBAs.. If I do a PGDBA course, call I tell that I did my MBA. Will it help me to persue a good Job if I move to foreign or to any other company's in future?

Recognized postgraduate diploma courses are considered equal as MBA, for example management courses from IIMs, XLRIs and autonomous Institutes offer post graduate diploma courses. As long as the course is of two years full time duration; the diploma courses are equally good as MBA. Since you are going for a distance learning programme from Symbiosis it will be considered as non full time and will be treated as a diploma course. The job benefits vary in each case; if you are pursuing the course to improve your role under your organization (Cognizant) go ahead with it. It won't be a problem even if you move a job after some significant work experience.
