There is nothing like good or bad specialization in MBA, it depends on your aptitude or your career goal. Say if you want to be an Investment Banker you should pick up Finance, if you want to be a VP or Head Marketing in future go for Marketing specialization.

The job prospects varies depending on which Institute you do your MBA, if you are going for IIMs or top business schools like ISB, XLRI, SP Jain, NMIMS etc for sure you will take a good job in any specialization.

If you are going to do MBA in tier c or tier d colleges think of carefully, Marketing will be the lone choice which gets you a job.

Thanks for the answer, I didn't understand why you mean to say that for tier c or tier d colleges Marketing is a lone choice? I have seen my senior picking jobs in Finance; ofcourse quite less people get campus jobs I knw..

For B.Com >> MBA Finance, MBA Banking

For B.Tech >> MBA Marketing, MBA IT

For Others >> MBA Marketing or MBA Operations

Specializations which are very specific like International Business & Operations Management the job scope is limited or narrowed down. Choose wisely, have flexibility do general MBA.
